Pet care experience
As a dog owner, I know how important it is to have high-quality care for our pets. I am excited to join Rover to share my experience and care for other dogs in my local community. Over the past three years, my husband and I have fostered many dogs through rescue organizations and shelters, including Oakland Animal Services. Through these experiences, I have trained puppy litters in housebreaking and leash training and adult dogs with leash reactivity. I am excited to use these skills to provide excellent care for your pet.

I believe that the caregivers of pets must advocate for their animals by learning the particulars of a dog's behavior. This advocacy supports the health and well-being of the dog, and other people and animals the dog encounters. To be a good caregiver and advocate for all dogs in my care, I communicate with owners by asking questions and learning more about what habits or preferences dogs may have, without judgment. I also observe the dog's behavior closely and ensure that my interactions with the dog foster positive interactions with other people and animals, both inside and outside the home.

Let me know what to be on the lookout for when your dog is walked or how they interact with people or other dogs on-leash. If they have any mobility limitations, that is good to know since we have some raised levels in our back yard. If there are any activities you do not want your pets to engage in, let me know that as well so I can create a care plan that fits their needs and your expectations!
A typical day
I live very close to a lovely park and accessible hiking trails. I love to bring my dog for walks around our neighborhood and hikes on the weekends.

Availability
I work from home and have the flexibility to care for dogs throughout the week and during different times of the day to fit a variety of schedules. I regularly walk and hike with my dog and would like more opportunities to get outside with a furry friend.
