Honest & Reliable Traveling Sitter

Pet care experience

I am a Canadian citizen, a military spouse, and a pet parent to 2 dogs, a Husky and a Pomeranian. They are a very important part of my life (and very spoiled!) My own pets actually inspired me to become a pet sitter! Over the years I have owned many different types of animals including dogs, rats, bunnies, a snapping turtle and a parakeet. I also leased and rode horses growing up. I possess a basic knowledge of animal care and have had some experience administering oral and topical medications. I am trained and certified in the American Red Cross Canine First Aid & CPR course. I have a passion for all animals and I'm eager to start a new career in the pet care industry!

Travelling as a family we always want to make sure that our dog Jack has a safe place to stay and will be treated really well. Vanessa does just that and more. She treats our dog as one of her own. We are able to enjoy our vacation knowing that he is in excellent hands. I have complete confidence that your family pet will be treated the same as our dog was. I highly recommend her to anyone for her pet sitting services.

I cannot say enough positive things about Vanessa! In addition to being incredibly responsible and reliable, Vanessa is caring, fun, and loving! Vanessa has babysat my dog Dorothy on multiple occasions, and each time she has been very committed to her care and well being. Whenever I have had to travel for long periods of time she has been great about keeping me up to date with pictures and quick notes to say hello! Being an owner of two dogs herself, Vanessa has been through it all! She was an enormous help during the training process with my pup Dorothy providing me several tips and tricks during the beginning stages! Thank you Vanessa!

Information Vanessa B. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences. I love all dogs, but I do have a soft spot for small dogs! I offer a free consultation so I have the opportunity to meet you and your pet. From there I would get detailed information from you about your pets needs, habits, likes/dislikes, and medical history so I can provide the best care for your pet. I can care for your small animals as well. I am open to providing boarding in my home for small caged animals. Not willing to care for aggressive dogs.
