About Me: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. My dog and cat are part of the family and I often refer to them as my kids! I grew up around animals (dogs, cats, birds, bunnies and horses) and have always enjoyed taking care of them. I do work a full-time job from 8-5 Monday through Friday. So during the weekdays my animals are at home alone. If your pup is staying with me and requires shorter intervals between potty breaks, I can offer an additional potty break around lunch time. I will be home in the evenings and on the weekends while your pup is staying with me, so they will be well taken care of. I love taking my dog for walks, playing in the yard, swimming and on occasion having some ice cream or peanut butter. From time to time I also watch my niece and nephews, so if you pet doesn’t like kids, please just let me know ahead of time! My Services: You dog will be welcomed into my home and be able to roam around and explore, play, snuggle and relax. I will treat your pet as if they were my own and make sure they get all the attention they need while you’re away. If you would rather your pet stay at your own home, I offer in house visits twice a day (three times a day for an extra fee). I will feed and let your dog out for potty breaks and play time. I don't however stay overnight at your home. In addition to dogs I will also visit your home to take of your cats and other small animals (pricing will be discussed at booking). Whether your pet stays with me or I come to visit them in your home, I can also take your dog for walks (30 minutes included for overnight visits; 15 minutes included for home visits and additional walks are extra). If your dog has never been around cats or you worry they might not get along, I can still accommodate your pet! With the fully furnished basement, I can separate the animals into different living spaces. My cat will have all he needs in the pet playroom, so your dog can be comfortable and feel at home. Just let me know if you have concerns and I will be glad to accommodate your pet’s needs. About my Home & Location I live in the quaint town of Zelienople, where the sidewalks are lined with streetlights for evening walks that lead to the beautiful park where your dog can sniff and play. I have a decent size backyard with a fenced in pool area and tie-outs for the unfenced area. I keep the dogs leashed for all outdoor adventures and the pool area is fenced and gated at all times to ensure everyone’s safety! I also have a partially finished basement full of toys and furniture just for the animals, which serves as my dedicated pet playroom. I use this area in the winter months or on rainy days so the kids can burn off some energy and have fun playing…but don’t worry your pet will also have access to the entire house and go outside for regular potty breaks. I typically walk my dog each evening for about a 30 minutes (bulldogs can have breathing issues, so the length of our walks can fluctuate.) If your dog requires more exercise or an additional short walk in the morning, I will accommodate that by request. About my Pets: I have two fur babies…Gibbs (My English Bulldog) and Ari (my kitty rescue)! They are not only best friends but they have to do just about everything together! My cat thinks he’s a dog and enjoys going outside on his leash to hunt, play and sometimes even go potty in my flower planter :( And my dog thinks he is a cat and tries to jump off the couch onto the coffee table and then off again…in attempts to catch his little brother as they run around like maniacs. They both enjoy laying in the sun on my bay window and watching the cars and walkers go by. They also love playing with balls and spending time in the yard. Gibbs really enjoys the cooler weather, going for walks and making new friends. Why I love dog sitting I love being surrounded by my fur kids…they make me laugh and I believe they even help reduce stress. How can you not be happy when you come home to wagging tails? The one thing I have always found difficult is when I have to go away. I know my dog doesn’t like being boarded. He prefers to be in a home with someone friendly who will take care of him. I’ve been fortunate to find him and my cat a sitter they love. And this is what I want to be able to do for you. I’ll make sure your pet gets all the extra love and attention they need while you are gone. Drop off & Pick up Times: I am very flexible with drop off and pick up times. I will do my best to accommodate your travel needs. We can arrange times when scheduling visits. And in some situations, I would be willing to pick up your pet. What Valissa would like to know about your pet? I would like to know if your dog is neutered/spayed. Does your dog get along with Cats? Can they be aggressive and are housebroken? Also, I would like to know if you prefer you’re pet to be crated or allowed to roam free. I have one large crate available but you are welcome to bring your own. I don’t require your pets to be crated but everyone has their own preferences. I always try to accommodate your pet’s needs…and don’t worry, your pets can lay on the furniture and even share my bed if they are used to sleeping in yours!
