Pet care experience
I have been a Registered veterinary technician for 22 years, 15 years in emergency medicine. I specialize in pets that need a little extra care, such as timid, elderly, special diet, diet restrictions, or those that need a little more patience. I am comfortable giving oral or injectable medications. I love to walk both large or small breed dogs. Ican walk multiple dogs at once. I can come to your house to help your dog feel comfortable while you're away, or they can come to my house for 24/7 care. I am a stay at home mom and currently working on my bachelor's degree online, so my hours are flexible. I can take your pet to the vet for appointments or even to the ER if I notice something is wrong. I train dogs with positive reinforcement or clicker training only. Dogs need to trust the people that take care of them, and they need a way to get out their energy to be good members of the family.

Valerie took great care of my dog, I could tell she was paying caring attention to the different aspects of his experience to make sure he had a great time! I also appreciated the frequent updates with photos and videos, it helped to know how my dog was adapting to being in a new house, and how he was engaging with the other dogs. I highly recommend Valerie!
You couldn't ask for a better sitter than Valerie. She was not only great with all of our animals, but was flexible and willing to work with our changing schedule. She was very professional and friendly. Would recommend her to everyone!

I have a fenced yard and 3 dogs, they are all friendly, but like to bark at visitors or when they get excited. We have a doggy door so dogs are free to go in and out but I always watch new dogs until I know their temperament and know that everyone gets along. I never assume that all dogs get along and will always watch all interactions.

A typical day
I believe if a dog is thinking he/she is learning. Dogs need enrichment to keep them thinking. I enjoy teaching dogs new skills, and making sure their days are filled with fun and enjoyment by walking around the neighborhood or park, to gett that extra energy out, then we can play games and learn to help get their brain engaged.
