Pet care experience
I’ve cared for animals, including senior pets and pets with medical conditions, since I was a child ❤️ We are in an apartment but we have a lovely patio where animals can hang out, weather permitting (fully enclosed) and a lovely patch of green behind our place for walks and frequent potty breaks, as well as large windows to get an outdoor view all day if pets wish! There are also TWO off-leash dog parks here and plenty of sidewalks for walks! Tiger loves it <3

I can’t even explain what a relief it is to have found Valerie! After our previous Rover sitter moved away, I had major reservations about finding someone else to trust with Teddy. All of my concerns vanished with Valerie. She is warm, kind, and truly cares about the pets left in her care. I was spoiled with photos and video updates all day. It is such a relief to know that Teddy has a happy safe place I can rely on. I picked him up and he was happy and obviously doted on all day. THANK YOU so much! We can’t wait to see you again.
Valerie took such great care of our dog Birdie! She checked in multiple times a day with updates and photos and videos. Birdie would get so excited to see Valerie when we dropped her off. Highly recommend Valerie for all your puppy sitting needs!!!
Valerie was great throughout the process! Got status updates and pictures throughout the stay and she was always quick to respond. Diego seems to have enjoyed his stay too, even with his first stay with a house cat. ☺️
Valerie was beyond excellent! In addition to taking great care of my special needs dog, Valerie also worked with me to modify the booking because of flight delays at my end. I really appreciated that! Squid is as happy as ever after his stay at Valerie’s.

Pets are allowed inside and outside and I have a separate/extra room if animals need to be separated for their comfort and safety. Pets are allowed on furniture and I make sure to clean their paws, etc as needed! I take great care to follow instructions to a T and am extremely intuitive and attentive to the needs of each animal. My own experience with senior pets and pets with medical needs helps me to recognize pet needs. Additionally, I am always very vigilant about bringing pets inside, providing cool water, shade etc if there is extreme heat, weather, etc and have adequate space for your pet’s crate if preferred. Crated or non crated is fine-happy to work with you and what your pet is used to❤️.

A typical day
When we are indoors I adore snuggling but take great care to make sure intros are done correctly so all animals and human friends feel happy and safe. If doggie loves walks, we can do those too around the neighborhood and green spaces. Our balcony is partially shaded so it's a great place for pets to hang out when the weather is right and we have large windows for nature gazing all day long!

Availability
Generally home all day 5-6 days a week (I work from home most of the week ) so frequent breaks and lots of sunshine are possible! I have a 22 month old little one and she loves our kitty Tiger. During the weekdays she goes to school and is not home. I also have extensive animal AND childcare experience so I feel confident about keeping our human and furry friends adequately supervised and separated as needed!
