I don't have a dog, but would love to, so walking dogs for a job doesn't seem like a job at all, but rather a fun day with friends! I had a black lab named Olivia over 20 years ago, and some of my fondest memories are my times with her! I have cat sit for a past neighbor for a week at a time, many times over the last couple years. I alway followed directions for feeding (he is a little over weight), and made sure he gets lots of play (as much as he wants before he becomes Lazy Cat) and attention. Also, I always send pictures after every visit to put my neighbors worries about her fur baby at ease. I have had cats all of my life and my current cat, Samantha, is 17 years old. Because of her age I have seen the changes that happen to an older cat and found out how to help her age well. I have helped my mom, who was living with us for 2 years, take care of her senior dog, Ellie, but she sadly passed away. I did my best by helping to carry Ellie out to pee and put diapers on her (which she did not like) and gave her oral medicines twice a day. As a mailman for 10 years I had the joy of knowing many dogs and all their varied reactions to the uniform! Seeing a dog I knew and was friends with was always the highlight of my day! I'm sure that your pet and I will become fast friends, and look forward to spending time together!
