Pet care experience
I just graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina with a psychology degree and will be home in Charlottesville for the summer. I have been a nanny for many years as well as a pet sitter for family friends, but I was super interested in joining rover when I recently heard about it. I am an avid dog and cat (and all types of pets) lover as I have had pets my whole life. Currently, I have a german shepherd and poodle, both of which have a lot of energy, so I know how important it is to get them outdoors. I love taking them for walks and playing with them. I also have had very small dogs, a miniature dachsund and rat terrier, so I am comfortable with all animal sizes. I love my own pets a lot, but I know I have so much more love to give to other people's pets too.

Valerie is very responsible and brings great energy. She's committed to making sure that your wants and your pet's needs are met with walks/runs/sitting. I have a young shepherd, and she actually took it on some of her training runs. I felt totally comfortable having her as a dog walker. Highly recommend!! She's awesome!
Valerie has watched my dog multiple times, she’s so energetic and takes care of him as if he were her own dog! She’s very trustworthy, communicative, and responsible. I highly recommend !
Val is a wonderful sitter because she really cares about her charges. She is very responsible and always shows up on time. In addition, she goes the extra mile and does everything necessary to take care of her duties. She loves animals and it shows. Plus, she has done a lot of babysitting over the years for the same family. I think that speaks volumes about her as they have had her watch two young boys for last three summers. And this past summer, the family got a puppy and he was included in her babysitting duties.
I’ve lived with Valerie for multiple years now as her roommate and she is super responsible and is always on time. She is an energetic person and loves spending tome outside with her pets and other animals!
