The Kind of Care Your Pets Deserve!

Pet care experience

Hello My Pet Lovers and Owners ! ◾️COVID-19 Caution: Currently, working hybrid (some time in the office and some time from home). I’m fully vaccinated and if I were to experience any symptoms I would be sure to cancel all bookings, notify clients, and change my calendar availability. When I meet you I wear a mask if requested and I consistently wash my hands throughout the stay or house sitting. I also rinse any rubber or mental toys and bowls upon arrival and again before departure. ——————————————————————— ▪️My Background: I grew up with three dogs and 2 house cats - a household of animal lovers you can say. I believe being around dogs, and cats can help bring joy, and uplifting memories into your life ! Because I don't currently have any, since I just moved locations; I'm in need of some furry buddies. My home kinda feels empty without any. I'm very flexible and accommodating to the needs of your pets - just ask away (tips are always welcomed)! Communication and patience is important to me. So, let's make sure we each bring positive energy into this partnership. Please believe it when I say: You would be doing me a huge favor by allowing me to meet and/or take care of your furry friend not the other way around. I look forward to hearing, and meeting you soon ! ——————————————————————— ▪️Going the extra mile: Your pet will never be left unaccompanied or unattended under my care. I’m an active individual and understand that specifically dogs they need to release their energy, so I do a lot of hikes, runs, beach walks etc. during my visit. I also work on behavioral basic training for dogs and can pass down some tips to the owner if desired and needed. Wherever I go my little or big furry guest come along with me for the trip. Yes, it requires a bit more time and energy which is why the price meets that extra mile care on my behalf. If you have any questions or special requests go ahead and send me a message to see how I can accommodate to your pet needs.

Valerie took great care of our cat for a week while we were away. She reached out to me every time she would visit with pictures and updates! She made our week away stress free knowing that our lil one was being cared for.

Safety, trust & environment

Based on my experience, I’ve been able to bond with the pet easily when their environment isn’t fully changed. When a pet is in their comfort zone the sitting goes smoother, so for that reason I prefer house sitting. However, always opened to house boarding.

Information Valerie G. would like to know about your pet

Any special care instructions like: •Whether or not the dog is house trained? •How are they during car rides? •Do they get along with other dogs? •Do they have any behavioral issues I should watching out for ? •Do they bite or have any aggressive tendencies?

A typical day

Depending on the energy level of the dog and whether or not they are staying with me. I will usually do two big activities throughout the day. I start off our day with a run, which usually takes place in Balboa park, since it’s right around the corner from me. I do this so they can use the restroom in the morning and feel calmer throughout the day; since the dog is in a new environment they will most likely be adjusting, which can cause some dogs to be restless. During the evening, I love going to Cowels Mountain for a hike or a beach walk/ run. So, that the dog can have a restful night.

Availability

I fully dedicate my weekends to pet sitting and treat them as if they were my own pets. If the booking is scheduled during the weekdays I use my lunch break to take him/her out for a potty break if needed. My work schedule is pretty flexible so I’ll adjust my agenda as requested.
