The WFH dog sitter your pup wants
Pet care experience
My experience caring for animals is mostly with dogs. I had a beautiful Boxer named Lacey for 9 years before she developed a fatal disease. She was an anxious dog, so I am very familiar caring with dogs with particular needs. Further, I am the go-to dog sitter for my family and friends, as they know I have the loving nature and patience required for pet sitting. I have a deep love and compassion for animals, and would care for yours as if they are my own.
Reviews
Valerie took wonderful care of our two dogs (including one with quite a lot of people anxiety), and I would have no worries entrusting them to her again!
Sweet and caring felt relief leaving my princess with her came home to very happy puppy
Valerie is a kind and conscientious person. She took care of my dog (Great Pyrenees), my cat (Ragdoll) and my home for nearly 3 weeks in March 2024. Upon my return, my pets were happy and well adjusted and my home as I had left it. Super trustworthy person and a great communicator. We would have Valerie back anytime, she’s a real gem!
Valerie was an incredible sitter for Hanna. This was the first time I’ve had someone stay at my place to look after Hanna instead of her going somewhere else. This was a great first experience for both Hanna and I. Valerie made sure my place was looked after and tidy, more importantly Hanna was completely comfortable and was spoiled. I think she was even sad to see Valerie leave at the end of the visit. Hanna and I are looking forward to the next sitting event in March and future times after that. Thanks again to Valerie!!!

While my apartment doesn’t allow for pets, I am available to come to your place to watch them. I am an avid walker and love to head to nature or navigate the city to give your pets the exercise and stimulation they need. Because I don’t have any pets, I won’t be bringing strange animal smells around your dog. My calm and grounded energy usually makes me a favourite around new dogs. As a work-from-home writer, I am very tidy and conscientious about my living space. I need to have an organized space to get my best work done. I take regular breaks so your pet will have no shortage of attention (if they like that!)
Information Valerie D. would like to know about your pet
The more information the better! Let me know about your pet’s likes/dislikes (are we avoiding men in hats? Got it), their meal time and portions, favourite toys and treats. I’m all ears!
A typical day
Your dog will get all the exercise and stimulation they desire. My regular dog sitting routine is to go for a long walk in the morning and evening, and then take them out for play/ pee breaks as needed. I’m flexible to follow your dog’s schedule though. When my dog got sick it became hard for her to walk, but she still needed mental exercise. I learned a bunch of DIY puzzles and games to give her the stimulation she needed, and I’d be happy to do the same for your pet!
Services
Valerie can watch in your home
Availability
I work from home as a writer so I have plenty of flexibility to offer your pets the care and attention they deserve. Aside from the occasional evening when I play softball, your pet will have the company you desire for them.
