I'm an outgoing and open person. I house/dog/cat sit yearly for 1-2 weeks for a friend. I have had dogs in my life since I was in my teens, and would have a dog now if I lived somewhere with a backyard for them to run free in. So, I have a cat. (I check in on her daily while sitting, and give her love and take care of her needs, once the pet I am sitting for is cared for.) I stay in their home, bring in the mail, water plants and the garden, and take care of their cat and large dog (part Great Dane). I play with the dog outside, spend time with her inside, feed her in the morning and be sure she always has water and put her to bed in her kennel at night. She is my buddy, and I love my time with her! I do have a job, with varying shifts throughout the week, but I would be sure not to take any assignment where my time spent at that job would interfere with my ability to care for your dog in the way you'd expect. Because I do shift work, there is also the option for me to request days off, and/or trade shifts to accommodate a specific time frame.
