Experienced Loving Animal Caretaker

Pet care experience

I have taken care of a variety of animals for neighbors and family since I was a kid. I am an experienced dog owner who has attended dog training classes. I have experience in volunteering with the local animal shelter and humane society. I have taken care of animals recovering from surgery and have experience administering medication to them as needed.

This was my dogs first sitter experience. Hes a high energy dog and has aniexty issues. Even with that Valerie did an amazing job boarding my dog even when his anxiety got the best of him/ her she didnt throw in the towel. Though you could tell when we picked him up she was drained. I would recommend her

Valerie is fantastic! This was our first time leaving our Astro for more than a few hours. I was concerned about him being anxious. Valerie sent us a message letting us know he was doing great, and even sent a picture of him hanging out and relaxing. Her communication and care throughout the process was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Valerie!

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for play time and potty breaks. I have three sons ages 2, 6, and 7 who absolutely love dogs who would also love to provide extra playtime and affection. We are a very physically active family so we do love taking dogs on plenty of walks, visiting parks, and playing outside in our backyard. If you are comfortable with your dog traveling with us we also enjoy bringing dogs with us on quick trips to local hardware stores, soccer games, and TBall games. During our meal times we do not allow dogs in our dining area. If a dog that is staying with us is already trained this way at home as well, we usually just ask them to lay down and stay in the living room at that time. However if they are not use to this we usually will just allow them to play in our backyard until we are done eating. We don’t feed people food to pets at all unless instructed by a owner. We also do not allow pets to be on any furniture. If your dog is use to being on furniture at home and jumps up from time to time it’s ok, we will just use the command “down” to ask them to get off. I do own a large dog crate that is available to be used during boarding if your dog is crate trained.

Information Valerie C. would like to know about your pet

It is important for me to know if your dog has experience with children and if they do well with other animals. I would love to know what a typical day for your dog at home looks like and any feeding or potty schedule they have. If they have any special diets or medications they are taking. Also if they have any physical limitations or special needs that I should be aware of. It is important for me to know ahead of time if your dog has anxiety and to what extent as they may not be the best fit for our home.

A typical day

A typical day of care usually includes multiple walks through our neighborhood and town ranging from.5 miles a walk up to 5 miles a day depending on your dogs energy level and mobility. Walks are usually in the morning, afternoon, and evening depending on the day. We live close to town and enjoy walking to all the local parks. We love being outside, playing ball with dogs, and even letting them cool down in our kiddy pool on hot days if they enjoy the water.
