My name is Valeria and I have always had a love for furry friends! My friends would describe me as the person who comes over just to play with their dog, so I found that this is the perfect fit or me. I developed my bond when I was growing up with my childhood dog, Luna, who lived to be 13 years old. Since then, I have fostered and adopted my own, such as my cat, Nova, who is as moody as can be. I would love to be able to help you with your companion because I know how much they are part of the family :) I have been a sitter on Rover since 2016. I have volunteered to care for both cats and dogs with a pet fostering organization, and VCA Old River Animal Hospital where I was responsible for basic pet care such as feeding, cleaning up waste, grooming and taking the dogs on walks. Cersei loved Valeria and let her pet her which is rare with people she doesn't know! Valeria was wonderful and sent pictures evety day!
Valeria came to check up on our cats while we were away for the holidays. They were detailed about the visits and sent photos of our little clan. Which is not an easy task considering we have 5 cats who aren't always the most social. The entire process with Valeria was very easy and comfortable for a first time Rover user like me. Everything from contacting, to the meet and greet, to the visit updates were fantastic. Will definitely be hoping to book with them again.
Valeria was great. She followed the drop in agreement and even gave my senior dog a little brushing of his shedding hair. Will definitely use her again.

I always ask for things to look out for on my first visit with the family. During the bookong, I make sure to keep consistent communication if any questions arise. If I am ever unsure of something, I make sure to check in with the family first.

I like to know if they have specific meal times, recommended # of potty breaks, allergies, food aggression (if any). Also, if they have a specific walking route and whether they are dog-aggressive. Favorite toys/scratch spots/treats!
A typical day
I absolutely love dogs and enjoy playing with them, taking them to the park and rubbing their bellies! As for cats, I am a cuddler so if your furry friend is too, we'll get along well! I have a passion for animals and have learned animal smarts from my friends who foster for East of Eden, a pet fostering organization, and from the animal hospital I volunteered at. If they have a favorite toy, I make sure to use it and follow the walkings paths that they are used to.

Availability
Update: I am back to working remote from home and have a little more flexibility to take on clients. If any requested times conflict with meetings or otherwise, I'll let you know so we can determine a better time for the both of us. Please note: my schedule will occasionally vary so at this time, I cannot accept long-term bookings (ex: daily dog walking for indefinite periods). I am open to booking multiple weeks at a time if my schedule allows, but I will need 1 month notice to make accomodations.
