Pet care experience
Big fan of all animals! Alongside my family, we took care of a German Shepherd/Lab mix for 17 years as well as my cat Oscar for another 9 years (and counting). I spent a fair amount of time house sitting for neighbors and friends which included dogs and cats. I'm familiar with pet sitting and care for animals with varying conditions i.e. cat medication and dogs recovering from injury or in physical therapy. I volunteered with an animal shelter for approximately 1 year, which included dog walking training and socialization as well as kitten/cat socialization. Fun fact, worked at a zoo for 5ish years!

Valentino has taken care of my cat and dog for years now, you can tell he brings a caring pet loving mentality with him. He was available on quick notice and also got back to me fast. My dog is old and on medication, it was very apparent he cares and pays attention to details. I feel very comfortable having him as my pet sitter!
I can't recommend Valentino enough! He's amazing with animals and he's so easy to work with. He's been my go-to pet sitter for years. While I'm away I receive updates and pictures daily from him. He's super reliable and my pets absolutely love him.
Valentino has been such a great sitter for my cat! He is dependable and I know my fur baby will be loved and cared for while I am away. Couldn't recommend him enough!
There is no better feeling while away than the peace of mind in knowing your beloved fur babies are well taken care of. When I leave my crew of four leggeds with Valentino, I know that I can truly relax because of how well they are looked after in his care. Our dog and cats always run to the door excitedly when he comes by to look after them, and we appreciate the pictures he sends while we're away. It's always hard to leave our pets behind, period, but Valentino goes above and beyond with his attentiveness, humor, and kindness to make it all as smooth as possible. I'm actually pretty sure all of our pets look forward to their "staycations" with Val!

It's important to establish trust with clients, which means following instruction that is provided. In addition, it's important for me to ensure that pets have access to water at all times and food provided (as scheduled by client). Depending on the dog, I think it's important to ensure they are getting enough play time or walk time (and bathroom time) as well.

I think it's really important to know upfront their physical activity level as well as what are they working on in regards to behavior. It's great to have an understanding of how they interact with other pets in the home or outside as well as with other people. For example, if a dog does not interact with strangers on the street while walking, it's important to know ahead of time. Also, an understanding of what positive behaviors you'd like encouraged is great too!
A typical day
I love any sort of activity with dogs! We can go on long walks, hikes, or even jogs (if requested/preferred)! I think it's really great to incorporate some playtime that's localized whether it's a smaller pet (cat/dog) or outside if needing more space (for larger pets). My cat is a big fan of hide and seek so we sometimes are doing a little scurrying around the house for fun!

Availability
I work from home for a snack company! It's pretty easy for me to step out to walk out a fur friend as well as drop in to check in or ensure they have water/food. Overnights are also accessible for me because as long as there is Wi-Fi, I can pretty much work from anywhere!
