Pet care experience

***Please note that Rover takes 20% of all services*** Since I was 5, I have been in love with all kinds of animals and pets. I have always been around different breeds of dogs, cats and horses. Animals are my passion and always have been. I started pet sitting when I was in middle school for my neighbors and some of my parent's friends. I had a mini schnauzer for 15 years and I took on the best responsibility as her guardian and best friend. From walking and jogs to the soaking baths that made them clean and fluffy.

Valentina is amazing!! She took such great care of my cats. They loved her and they are usually much more shy. She’s the best.

Val was very attentive to our dog who is not used to being with anyone other than family. We were nervous to leave our dog as we had never before. Val was very well communicated and very educated and patient with taking care of our dog. If I could give her a million stars I would!

I was extremely nervous leaving our 2 dogs with someone outside of the family for our first time, but Val was very comforting and responsive toward us, and attentive to our dogs. She provided pictures twice a day, administered medicine to both of them, and then went above and beyond to clean our house and water plants. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and provides information and suggestions. We will be contacting her again for our next trip!

Safety, trust & environment

In a client's home I will obey and accept any order they provide to me. Growing up with a military background I have been taught to always be punctual. Yet there may be times that I will work in unpredictable situations, as long as I remain to be a great communicator and have patience, anything that may be said or need to be done happen. I care for any kind of animal there may be, trustworthiness is very hard to come by especially when it's a clients most prized possession. I will ensure safety is my number one priority when it comes to something that I care about without even knowing.

Information Valentina F. would like to know about your pet

The ultimate checklist for being a pet sitter is ensure the dogs wearing the correct collar with an ID that has the owner's correct contact information, food kibble with a measuring scoop and the directions about amount & frequency.Being aware of the food & water bowls, a regular schedule for feeding, bathroom breaks, exercise, bedtime. Any household rules; the do's and don'ts, Pet owner's contact information, Veterinarian's contact information, Local emergency animal hospital contact information, secondary contact information, in case I have no ability to get in contact with the owner. Key and/or alarm code with instructions, Dog poop bags and a location to dispose of the waste, Cleaning supplies in case of an accident, or if their dog gets sick., Dog's harness, leash, dog bed, their favorite toys as well as Safe treats and bones attached with frequency instructions.

A typical day

For a puppy or and adult dog with high energy, going on walk and exploring like a tourist, it would give them a better sense of direction, especially planning a trip to all the pet friendly spots with the ensuring and permission of the owner will excite the dogs to a mind of exploration on their own. High energy is best suited for a long run or jog with right outside temperature and fuel for myself and the dogs. Making a DIY dog toy crafting will create challenges to help them keep moving forward and definitely tire them out afterwards, especially if it comes down to a nap. For medium energy, teaching them a new trick will help them understand that no matter the age, they can prove to themselves that they can do it. Taking them to a trail that has a pond or lake would be really fun as well, they will be aware of their open surroundings followed by pictures for their owners instagram posts. Throwing them a puppy party on their birthday or congratulating on something they did well. Low energy can just be like a finding a comfy spot on the couch or floor of watching canine friendly movie or show, having a spa day to rejuvenate the youthful in them, having a doggy yoga session and bonding. Having a singing or dancing day with them, taking a trip to the dog park and grabbing a whipped cream treat from starbucks, if allowed by their owner.
