Pet care experience
I am a graduate student at WSU and have been a go-to sitter for professors and fellow grad students for years when they travel for field work or conferences. I have done this wherever I have been in school (such as NY). Depending on what’s most comfortable for the pet, I have hosted them in my home or gone to them. I am eager to expand my clientele and experience a range of wonderful dogs!
Reviews
Valda is awesome. She is incredibly punctual, kind, and flexible to work with. Oliver took to her right away. We're already talking about potential bookings in the future. I highly recommend her.
Did great with my dog, was not deterred by the snow, still took her out.
Valda's whole demeanor brightens each time she visits with our little Abbey. She is so delighted to doggysit that she's jokingly asked us to travel more so that she can spend more time with Abbey. Valda and Abbey have bonded. All we have to do is ask Abbey if she wants to see Valda, and Abbey is immediately up and wagging her tale (and vice versa, lol).
Valda has taken care of my dog for me on quite a few occsaions. It's always been great. Daphne loves her, and she's always taken great care of everything.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a one bedroom apartment with a decently sized living room. I allow pets on my couch and bed since that is the best way to give them attention while I do research at home. I also live right next to a walking trail that I love to walk on to take breaks throughout the day. I do not have other pets so it is an ideal situation for dogs that need one on one time.

Information Valda B. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know if they have any special needs or medications they need to take. Also, what their preference is for interacting with other dogs or people.
A typical day
There is a walking trail by my house that extends around Pullman. Depending on the energy level of the dog we can walk around the trail, into town, and go to parks.

Availability
I work part-time at WSU as an instructor with additional hours for lab work. Majority of the time I try to do work at home though. For a busy week, I am usually away from home M-F from 9 am until 4 pm, but it varies. My schedule is flexible.
