Pet care experience
Growing up, my family and I always had dogs and cats around the house. As an adult, I have not been in a position to have an animal of my own and was missing the companionship of animals. I decided to volunteer with the Humane Society and Big Paws of the Ozarks by fostering dogs. Since I started volunteering, I have fostered 6 dogs, and have successfully gotten 5 of them adopted under my care <3 Fostering those dogs gave me a new found love and passion for being around and taking care of animals. For the past year and a half, I lived in a home with my brother, who has a dog named Dash. Since I worked from home, I was his main caretaker during the day. I now live on my own with zero pets!

Valarie took extra special care of my sweet Dixie. She is hands down the best person I have found on Rover. Her response time was exceptional and she even sent me pictures of my pup while I was away! You can tell Valarie has a true heart of service and loves animals like they are her own. I have recommended her to all my friends and they feel the exact same! If you want someone who is as energetic as your dog and loves them like you do then Valarie is your girl!
I couldn't think of a better person to call when I need someone to look after my pooch!! When she's not taking care of her boyfriend's dog Dixie, Val is known for fostering numerous dogs from the local shelter and has helped ALL of them find their forever homes! When I lived with Val, she took great care of my dog Dash while me and my fiance were at work all day. She's one of the best dog moms I know!!

A typical day
I am a personal trainer and a generally active person! I usually take an hour long walk a day and anytime I watch friends dogs or foster, I take them on daily walks!

Availability
I currently run a personal training business out of my garage gym at home, so I work from home on weekdays! This allows for an incredibly flexible schedule and plenty of free time between client sessions to create the schedule for my day as I please.
