Pet care experience
I have two years of experience volunteering at an animal shelter taking care of both cats and dogs. I also have four cats of my own that I have taken care of for the past two years, one of which is a special needs cat who had cerebellar hypoplasia as a kitten. I would love to offer boarding and daycare services for pets that are comfortable being around other animals (all my cats are very friendly and would love a new furry friend to play with). If your pet would rather have 100% of my attention, I am willing to offer house-sitting and drop-in services.

My cats have a designated room in my apartment that has food stations, two litter boxes, an assortment of toys, and a large cat tree. This means that if they seem to not get along with your pet during the duration of their stay, I can very easily separate the animals so they can all be as comfortable as possible. Otherwise, all pets (including yours) would be free to roam around my apartment as it is properly proofed against anything that could hurt them. During drop-ins and house-sitting visits at clients’ homes, I would ensure that I am keeping an eye on your pet at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of your home.

A typical day
I love playing fetch with dogs which is great for them because they get plenty of exercise and burn off excess energy and also for me because my cats don’t care for toys or fetching things for me! I also love practicing commands with both cats and dogs including teaching them to spin and stand on their hind legs.

I am employed full-time but have a flexible work schedule and can work from home several days a week. I can also be available during the workday for drop-in visits as needed for walks and meal times.
