I enjoy being active and engaging with dogs. Running, training, playing, or snuggling are all experiences that allow me to learn from them as well as create a calm and loving space for the dogs! I have a 7 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who is extremely friendly, funny, playful and lazy. I think it is important to interact with dogs physically (running, playing) and mentally (training, nose work). Doing this stimulates their body and mind, as well as gets them tired, which is ALWAYS a good thing! All dogs are different but very intelligent and aware. Once you understand the breed and what motivates that specific dog, figuring out how to interact and ultimately give a pleasurable experience should be fairly simple.
