Pet care experience
I ran my own takoma park dog walking business for a year when I was 19! I only stopped because I moved abroad with my family and now I’m back and ready to get going again 😋 ive grown up with dogs and cats including 2 little guys at my parents house now 🐶 I’ve been in love with animals for as long as I can remember (my stuffed animal collection was already shocking by the time I was 4) and I’m ready to bring the same enthusiasm to your pet!

Tyrie did a great job watching my dog when I was out of town. She sent picture updates frequently and left the house very clean. My pup seemed happy and well cared for when we got home.
Tyrie was great with our cat and elderly dog. Our dog is struggling with incontinence and health issues and Tyrie was thoughtful and patient. Our house was cleaner than when we left so that was great too!
Tyrie is a pro as well as a dog lover. She was great with our dogs and knows how to handle those sudden lunges that big dogs sometimes and unexpectedly make. She was also very accommodating with our schedule. We will definitely be repeat customers.
We found Tyrie to be not only naturally good with animals, but also extremely responsible in caring for our home and garden. We were gone for two weeks and returned home to find everything in perfect condition! We will have her back for our next vacation. She's the best pet and home sitter we have ever encountered!

With all the dog walking/sitting I’ve done I’ve gained some amazing experience and insight on how to tailor my approach to fit your pets needs. I’ve worked with plenty of very enthusiastic pups that I’ll take on 40-45 minute walks 3 times a day to burn off some of that energy as well as very old dogs who need love, patience and understanding (and a strict medication routine). I’m excited to learn about the needs/wants of your pet ❤️

Please let me know any allergies, sensitivities, medicines and medical problems. Also any behavioral issues to be prepared for and what your dog is like on walks and how long a dog can be left alone when I have work :)
A typical day
I think I love playing with dogs more than the dogs do so if that’s your pups thing we’ll be outside (in the yard or dog park) playing their favorite games as well as long walks through leafy residential streets and trails (I grew up on Sligo creek and that’s my all time favorite walking spot). I also think puzzles are a great way to engage dogs even if it’s as simple as hiding treats under bowls or in towels.
