Hello there👋🏼 While I know there is a ton to read on my page, it is worth the time to read and know more about me and how I operate things in my home🐕 My name is T! I grew up around dogs my entire life and now these furry canine companions are my whole life❤️ As a child I always knew I was going to have a job that involved dogs and now I run my own small dog training business and also am an AKC CGC Evaluator. My dog training business, Nelly's Canine Training, is a woman, minority, and disabled owned, small business. Nelly’s Canine Training is dedicated to offering customized board and train programs and also service dog training to help elevate the owners relationship with their dog! When we first dropped off our dogs one of them was already super anxious. This one is highly excitable. Even though I’ve never seen him aggressive (we take him to the busy dog park often), T advised he “went after” her dog. Because of this she didn’t want him around her dogs or the other dogs in her care. This I understand. She doesn’t know him as we do (he would never hurt a fly). Aside from this she took good care of them. Though I had to reach out to her for updates each time. When we dropped them off at 9a she advised she doesn’t send updates/pics/videos until 4pm. So would have been 7 hours before an update with a new sitter. When I reached out to her just to make sure they settled in OK, that’s when she advised me one of our dogs was aggressive towards her dogs. She sent some pics of them playing later in the day. The following morning I checked in (the first time probably too early -745a), no answer. Checked in a few more times and no answer. She responded around 1230p and said her phone was on silent. Simple mistake, no biggie, but because she advised me our dog was aggressive I had worst case scenario images flashing through my head. IMO when you are running a business and taking care of other peoples fur babies, ones phone shouldn’t be on silent. I could tell our dogs had a great time at hers, even if separated from the other dogs. They were very happy and relaxed the rest of the day.
Tyra did a wonderful job with River. This was our first time using Tyra for boarding and would definitely use her again. She took pictures and kept me in the loop. River had a blast with Tyra and all the dogs there too!
Tyra is wonderful. Accommodating and Poppy is always smiling in the photos that Tyra sends. I never worry about Poppy’s care.
Excellent care and very caring. Daily communication and pictures sent.

One of the many perks of running my small business is I am able to make my own schedule and I work from home! I am almost always at home unless I am on a training field trip with my board & train dogs🐾 This means your dog will receive ALL the attention and care they could ever want and need❤️ Your dog will enjoy running around in the backyard playing with other dogs and with all the dog toys🎾 I love playing with the dogs by kicking around a soccer ball or interacting with tug toys to get the dogs amped up into full play mode💪 On rainy days or bad weather days, dogs will be able to play inside🐶 Dogs are ALWAYS allowed to play in the dog room! This room is set up and for dogs to play in and has a bunch of dog toys as well as dog chews🎾 There are also three dog treadmills in my home, this allows dogs to be able to get their walk in while staying dry and out of the rain. One out of the three treadmills is a DogPacer (electric treadmill specifically designed for dogs). The other two dog treadmills are a PawPaw Slat-mill which is a treadmill that is propelled by the dog which is fun to see dogs who are really motivated to run🐾

Please let me know the following: -Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations -Any medical conditions, allergies, or medications -If staying with us your dog MUST be kennel trained unless they are doing a board & train program! Dogs are kenneled at night when I go to sleep. ‼️IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR TRAINING, training is available at an additional cost and must be requested and discussed PIROR to drop off‼️ Message me that you would like to use the discount, ROVERFIND, for a 10% discount on ANY board & train! *training is billed separately from my business, NOT on Rover*
A typical day
You can expect to get an update at the end of most days! Updates will include several photos and typically a quick summary of all the love and fun your pet(s) are having! Your dog will enjoy running around in the backyard playing with other dogs and with all the dog toys! I do not allow dogs to be unattended in the backyard and am a firm believer in being active with the dogs. I love playing with the dogs by kicking around a soccer ball or interacting with tug toys to get the dogs amped up into full play mode! On rainy days or bad weather days, dogs will still have a chance to get out their energy indoors. Dogs are ALWAYS allowed to play in the dog room! This room is set up and for dogs to play in. I also have a Dog Pacer (electric dog treadmill) and not just 1 but 2 Slat-mills (dog self propelling treadmill) which is a great way for dogs to get out energy either running/sprinting or walking while staying dry from the rain. It's a great way to mentally stimulate as well as exercise the dogs!
