Pet care experience
I grew up always having a dog, and have had a few dog sitting jobs recently (prior to joining Rover). My experience is mostly with large and small dogs, and have been for periods of up to a month (living with the dogs in their home), including dogs with daily medication. I’m happy providing essentials (feeding, outdoor time) and just spending time and attention on the dogs I’m with. I have also done feeding visits and an overnight stay for cats.

We have appreciated Tyler's help with our dog, fish tank, and home very much. He is personable and flexible in managing different issues that developed around the house while we were on the east coast, happy to help trouble shoot solutions :) When our return travel plans were delayed due to weather, he offered to extend his help as needed until we were home once again. Our dog has enjoyed his stays as well :)
I highly recommend Tyler S for pet sitting. He took care of our 3 year old Shih Tzu and our 5 year old Cocker, staying at our home. He is calm, consistent, trusted, and caring about the dogs. He also took care of them short term not staying the night, and felt that was ok short term but sad for them long term. I liked he thought it through for the feelings of the dogs.

I am used to and comfortable providing in-home dog care, following pretty much any routine your dogs may be used to. I have experience with both crating and bed-sharing at night, whatever keeps your pet happy.

It helps to know as much about their daily routines as possible, including time ranges for meals if they can’t have food left out. If there are other dogs in the neighborhood (friendly or otherwise), that’s always helpful for planning walks.
A typical day
I will provide as close a replica of their daily routine as I can, even if that means early breakfasts or regular walking routes. If they enjoy a little more spontaneity, I enjoy mixing up where I go on walks or playing fetch in the yard or safe parks. If you have a pool and a dog who is comfortable swimming, I know that helps get a lot of energy out of my dog at home.

Availability
I currently work mostly on weekends, which leaves me available full-time during the week. As my work schedule changes week-to-week, any specific walking/feeding times on my working days will have to be discussed, but I am happy to accommodate wherever I can.
