Pet care experience
I have cared for my own dog (Nala) and dogs of friends and neighbors for most of my life. Anyone who knows me knows I'm an animal lover, and even strangers can it if they have a dog that usually doesn't like strangers. I have experience handling large, powerful, or energetic dogs such as Pit bulls, Rottweilers, and Rodesian Ridgebacks. I can give your dog the option of socializing with others or not. We can drive, bike, run, or walk on streets, trails, yards, or dog parks. I have also trained several dogs from puppyhood and as adults. I believe in happy, well-behaved dogs. I'm a stickler for whatever rules you have in place for your dog, just as I do for mine. Currently I do design work from home so I'm available all hours. I have given several dogs first aid care that had minor injuries, and I'll happily administer any necessary medications.

First and foremost: Tyler is a good guy who doesn't do things half way. I regularly see him around town walking(and sometimes running!) his own dog as well as the dogs he occasionally fosters. Every time he has spent time with my dog he is engaging and clearly enjoys his time with her. Tyler is someone who will go above and beyond to make sure your dogs needs are taken care of, and then go further to make sure he provides enrichment in excess of need. Way to go Tyler!

A typical day
Three times daily we walk the streets of SE Blacksburg to a field for pooping and exploring. Dogs can be on or off leash in the field, depending on the dog. I have a decent sized back yard for playing fetch, etc., but no fence. Weekdays around 5pm sometimes we go to one of the two dog parks in town. On nice weekends we like to go walking or biking at Pandapas Pond or Poverty Creek trails. When feeling motivated I will take dogs out for an evening run.
