Dog Lover With a Flexible Schedule

Pet care experience

Before my family got a dog, I was a huge cat person. Then we got a Bichon Frise named Blizzard and I realized how rewarding it was to take care of a dog. I was not the sole care provider for Blizzard, but I was a huge part of the responsibility for him. I was in charge of making sure that he had food twice a day and water available at all times, along with making sure he got walked after school so we could both get our exercise. I also loved playing fetch with him and helping him to learn his tricks. As he has gotten older, I have gained experience dealing with an aging dog and how to better help them live their life. For example, I take him for shorter walks so his legs do not hurt him the rest of the day and I helped teach him how to use a ramp to get up and down from the family room couch. I even lift him up and down the stairs in our garage because it is unnecessary for him to exert that energy if he does not have to. I now understand that senior dogs require different care than younger dogs, which should give any senior dog owner peace of mind. I am also great with any kind or size of a dog. I have never met a dog that did not like me because I learned de-escalation techniques with dogs if they get too excited or upset when they see a new person. Currently, I can be available to walk your dog or stay at your house and keep them company while you are away for multiple hours in the day. I now have much more time as my college wraps up for summer break, so my schedule is very open and flexible. Upon instruction, I can go over to my client's home and keep their dog company. My schedule is very open and flexible, plus I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19, so people should always feel confident when inviting me into their home while they are away. I have a dog with separation anxiety, so I understand how important it is that all of our dogs have somebody to hang out with, play with, and get exercise with.

Tyler C. is exactly the kind of person you want to care for your dog when you can’t. Tyler is honorable, responsible, trustworthy and has a love of animals. He has had pets in his own home his whole life. I would rest easy knowing Tyler Crane has the keys to my house and my dog’s leash in his hands.

Tyler takes great care of our dog, Blizz. He is very resposible and always makes sure Blizz is taken care of, which is especially important as he gets older and has more needs. He also has taken great care of my cat. You can really tell he cares about animals.

I will care for my clients' pets at their home as I would care for my own at my home. Depending on how energetic the pet is, we will definitely play with toys until they get worn out! Plus, they may want to go on a walk if it is nice out! If the pet is older or just simply worn out, I will provide them company because a lot of dogs have separation anxiety right now.

Information Tyler C. would like to know about your pet

Important information I would like to know is if the dog is a runner as soon as the door opens and if they are hard to catch. This is important to know because I want to be as safe as possible with your pet. I would also like to know what (if any) medications that the dog is supposed to take orally because I have frequent experience doing that with my own dog. My dog is also a senior dog, so I have lots of experience with them and realizing their needs are different compared to younger dogs, so please let me know if yours is a senior dog.

A typical day

There are multiple dog parks in the nearby area where I live that I could take your dog walking. I personally love a trail located in Sleepy Hollow where you get to go into a forest preserve and immerse yourself in nature. I also love energetic dogs that love to play fetch with tennis balls and other toys because I think it is entertaining for both the dog and me.
