Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Tyler and I live with my fiance, Mariesa. We love dogs of all shapes and sizes and believe they can be curious and exceptionally bright animals. Dogs are at their best when in nature and want to learn and explore as much as humans do. Exercise and enrichment are as important to dogs as food and love. Hiking, camping, skiing and rock climbing are some of our favorite hobbies. National Parks are our favorite places to spend time in and one day we wish to see every one in the US. We have a Labrador mix named Hauser (50 lbs). He is great with other dogs, is very gentle but has the energy of a puppy (he is 7 years old). I would be taking on most of the responsibilities of caring for your loved one(s), but Mariesa will be there if I have meetings or other obligations. Together, we have cared for dogs our entire lives. We recently lost a member of our family, Jack (he is the brindle one in the profile photos). The house feels slightly more empty than before so we decided to bring dogs into our home to help you out when you need to be away from your pup for a period of time.

My pup Indie went to Tyler’s today for the first time and she loved him!! She has separation anxiety and is very picky on where and who she is comfortable with. Therefore, I am also very picky on who I trust to watch her because I don’t want her in an environment that stresses her out more than she already naturally is. Tyler said she settled in pretty quick at his place which is very rare so I think that says it all!! If you’re picky on dog sitters like I am then I can reassure you that Tyler is great. We will definitely be using him again :)

Tyler and his fiancé were great with Luna! She plenty of play time with their dog Hauser, and they took her to the dog park and hiking in the canyons. Tyler was very accommodating with the drop off and pick times and would certainly recommend for overnight stays!
Tyler took good care of Rocky! He sent me pictures and a video during his stay. Rocky looked like he was at home and was getting spoiled! Tyler was also intuitive to his needs. Rocky was itchy and asked me permission to give Rocky things to ease him. I highly recommend Tyler to care for your dog!

I do not have breed preferences, though spayed or neutered is a must. I would prefer the pet to be up to date on shots. Most dietary restrictions and acute or chronic conditions are welcome. Hauser is very gentle and does well with all types of pets. I cannot remember a single instance of him getting aggressive with other dogs or people. We feed our dog a prescription diet that isn't suitable for normal dogs. Providing food for your pet's stay is greatly appreciated. We can also provide food for an additional $2 per day of stay.
A typical day
Pets can expect multiple walks a day in dog friendly South Park. Grape Street Dog Park is about 5 minutes away, it is not enclosed so let me know how your furry friend is off leash. Mission Trails is about 10 minutes away and has dozens of trails ranging from easy walks to intense summit hikes. Dog beach in OB is about 10 minutes away. This being said, not all dogs are used to strenuous activity. I take pets on hikes early in the morning and late afternoon/early evening depending on the season. I always carry extra water for animals and a collapsible dog bowl for drinking. I NEVER walk dogs on extremely hot and dry days.
