Pet care experience
Hey! My name is Tyfanee and I have 15yrs experience working professionally with animals. I worked at an animal shelter for 11yrs, as well as in several veterinary offices as a vet assistant. I have also pet sat professionally and independently in the past, so I am new to Rover but not new to pet sitting! My passion is working with animals, so I also foster and do rescue. I have experience with everything from puppies and kittens, to geriatric animals, and those with behavioral/medical needs. I feel comfortable and confident with all sizes, ages, activity levels, and if your pet needs time to warm up to someone new or has some behavioral quirks I’m willing to give them a try! Working with animals for so long, especially in high stress situations has given me a plethora of knowledge, especially surrounding behavior and body language.

Tyfanee is great with my somewhat sensitive and very expressive Akita. Tyfanee understands canine behavior and she is very patient and attentive to a variety of emotional needs.
Tyfanee was great, she took great care of our dogs and was a great sport when our well pump unexpectedly stopped working. She sent great photos and asked when she had questions about anything.
This is our second year with Tyfanee. All our pets remembered her which made it easy for us to leave them behind. Tyfanee checks in on a daily basis and sends wonderful photos of all the pets. We trust her with our home and fur babies!
Tyfanee took great care of our babies! Even after an issue with a digital lock she stayed with our dogs until help arrived even though she didn’t have to!

My preference is to do a meet and greet prior to any services to make sure everyone is comfortable and to go over important information, but I am willing to accommodate certain last minute requests without a meet and greet. I want the experience to be enjoyable for everyone, especially your pet(s) so knowing as much about their likes/dislikes, daily routine, etc. is super important. I encourage you to provide as many details as possible, the more the better!

The more detailed you are the better! It’s especially important for me to know about any behavioral quirks or medical needs ahead of time. Beyond that, just knowing your pets regular routine is important to me so they can be as comfortable as possible while you’re away.
A typical day
My personal dogs love to be active, which includes hiking, playtime, swimming, etc. They also love the mental stimulation of a treat puzzle, stuffed kong, etc. I love doing these things with client dogs as well! If you’re dog is more low key we can snuggle on the couch or just hang out.

Availability
I am currently taking a break from my 9-5 job at a veterinary hospital, so my hours are very flexible! If you need full time, 24/7 care I am unable to accommodate that, but if your companions are ok to be alone for several hours during the day I can work my schedule around them. My clients are top priority, and if I didn’t think I would be able to provide the care you needed I wouldn’t be afraid to tell you so. I know how anxiety inducing it can be to leave your companions while you’re away, and I strive to provide peace of mind so you can enjoy your time away! I also send lots of photos and updates during my stays. I’m committed to the animal’s I care for and if you have an emergency, flight delay, etc. I always make sure I can accommodate that so you can have a stress free return.
