All my life I’ve been surrounded by animals, in particular, dogs. My family has had anywhere from cats to big and small dogs. My very first dog I had was a Boston Terrier named Koa. He was basically my best friend. We went to the park, I took him on bike rides through my neighborhood, or just hung out on the couch. Then in high school, I participated in FFA and I had a swine named Willow. When I moved onto college, I missed being around animals. So I eventually started to look after my friends’ various pets. Now that I’m out of college, I miss the feeling of taking care of dogs. Every time I see a dog, I just light up and instantly want to give them my undivided attention. Dogs are such a joy to be around and they bring a certain happiness that can’t be explained.
