Happy dog happy life!

Pet care experience

With a background in caring for the many family pets and helping to train a sled-dog team run by my sister, I have plenty of hands on and practical experience caring for a variety of different dog breeds. I am comfortable with all shapes and sizes of most pets, and I ensure that every pet is treated like a member of the family. If I’m not conditioning the dogs or writing a paper for school, then you can find me SUPing, climbing, and hiking, rain or shine! It is essential to a pets well being to stay active and I try to encourage this with all of the pets that I help take of, while at the same time always ensuring that they are safe and having a good time. I understand that life can get hectic so it is my goal to help you take care of another member of the family and to ensure that your pet is well taken care of even when your away!

Ty did an amazing job with our two dogs Apollo and Nova. He was very polite, friendly, took great note of how we care for them and completed it to a T. He was able to accommodate us very last minute and we got regular updates with pictures/videos. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing some extra care for their pups.

Ty is wonderful, the dog loved him. He sent frequent pics of the animals so we knew they were well cared for.

Safety, trust & environment

Initially when meeting a pet for the first time I want to ensure that you and your pet are comfortable with me, before contracting anything as every pet is different. I also provide treats, diet allowing, and I spend a lot of time playing, walking, and generally engaging your pet. I think that through patience and good attitude, you can achieve the trust of most animals, and their owners too!

Information Ty C. would like to know about your pet

To be the most prepared possible there are a few things that I do need to know about your pet. First of all, temperament, I need to know how they react around people and if being around crowds or other pets is a good idea or not. Medication schedule ( if applicable), feed schedule and what their daily routine consist of is also helpful as keeping them on a consistent schedule helps to keep stress levels down. I also need to know any diet restrictions and what treats, if any, are okay to bring. My goal is to keep your dog at as normal of a pace as possible, so the more of their schedule I know the better I can provide for their needs.

A typical day

On a typical day with a dog I will start with a morning walk, depending I their age and breed it could be a few hundred feet to a mile. Afterwards I put down down water and food, depending on their feeding schedule. After which I will then leave until their evening walk, or if it is a home stay allow them to rest before moving on to an activity. General activities include hikes (with tick protection), dog park, and playing with various toys. Depending on the breed I do also take pets to the river or water for a swim in the summer. In the evening I walk and give the dogs water and food, again depending on their feed schedule.
