We are currently not accepting new clients; we will open back up in fall 2024. If we've had your doggie over before, feel free to request a booking, and we will accept if possible based on our summer schedule. Thanks! ** Our doggies Juju and Hiro love to play with Rover friends! Your dog will love our HUGE fenced backyard, summer splash pool, and single-level ranch home where they will be free to explore. We have special experience with senior dogs, cuddle bugs and high-energy pups (Tuula is a runner and makes frequent trips to nearby trails at Denman).

Rosie came home exhausted and happy 😊 Tuula and Andrew are fantastic: kind, responsible, easygoing, and very active. Rosie got to hang out with cool dog friends, climb mountains, swim in rivers, haul around giant sticks and tumble down Roxy Ann in the snow -- she was definitely in her happy place! My husband and I enthusiastically recommend these two -- they're awesome!!
I appreciated the pics and texts I got letting me know that Walle was adjusting to his stay. He was exhausted when we got home, so I think they kept him busy playing.
What a great experience! Our pup was given lots of attention and got plenty of exercise. We recieved plenty of pictures and updates throughout her stay. We will be using again. Highly recommended!

We will be with your dog 24/7 and pay attention to their needs. Multiple water sources are always available and we understand the importance of regular mealtimes! We expect reasonably good behavior and though we're not dog trainers, we'll be sure your dog understands the house rules (eg. no cat chasing) and will gently remind them as needed.

We would like to know about your dog(s): 1. What their behavior is around cats 2. Whether they can go off-leash for hikes 3. If they have a history of running away 4. If there are any events/activities that trigger their anxiety (loud noises etc.) 5. If they have any history of aggression or accidents 6. Recent health history and any chance of exposure to dog viruses
A typical day
Each morning at our house starts with a game of fetch in the backyard, and each day ends with a stroll around the neighborhood. In between we often go to Touvelle Park, Denman Wildlife Area, Jacksonville Forest Park or another destination for running, hiking and swimming! If no adventure is planned the dogs may roam the 2/3rds acre property (all fenced) or just take a nap on the couch if that's their speed.

Availability
Tuula works from home frequently and we both have weekends off. Until we get to know your dog we'll only take them on days that we can be home with them. On the weekends we usually head out for hikes or play time at the river.
