Pet care experience
I’ve always been great with animals, especially dogs and have been working with dogs since I was a kid. My first dog Charlie, a Border Collie mix, required a lot of training and exercise. I was 9 years old when Charlie and I started puppy training, which quickly advanced to adult dog training and finally to advanced agility training. I currently live with my 6 year old German Shepard/Retriever mix and my 3 year old Husky/Pit mix and we love running, going on walks and exploring nature! I’ve been around dogs for so long I’ve come to understand their behavior and they communicate. All dogs have their own traits and personalities and I am capable of adapting and adjusting to their needs.

Tula went above and beyond watching my cat Al during the ice storm! She kept him fed, warm and entertained, and she sent super detailed (and funny) reports + photos for each visit. I'm grateful for the peace of mind she gave me, and I highly recommend that you hire her to watch your little pal when you can't!

Tula watched our kitty for 9 days while we were on vacation. We were so nervous to leave her for so long but Tula made sure she played, ate and drank, and we came home to a happy kitty. We are so grateful for Tula!

I’ve cared for many pets that deal with separation anxiety or just anxiety in general (I’ve owned a couple myself 😁) so I understand the care and needs that are necessary for your pet to be comfy and happy! I also understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your pet under someone else’s care so I do my best to send lots of pictures and updates to owners while they’re away.

Please let me know if they are reactive to certain triggers. For example, my dogs can be reactive towards other dogs at times so I’ve learned how to manage that behavior. Any medications, allergies, food sensitivities, behaviors, or other info you might think is important for me to know.
A typical day
I enjoy running, walking and hiking with my dogs and my partner. We will either stay in our neighborhood or drive to a new place to explore. We also enjoy going to an open field to run around and play fetch or going to a lake or river to swim. I like to run training exercises with my dogs because mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation!

Availability
I work from home most days so my schedule is very flexible. I usually go into the office once or twice a week but only for a couple hours at a time. I’m free most weekends and try my best to keep my calendar on here up to date.
