My family grew up on a small farm and growing up we had every type of animal to care for and later after living in Brooklyn NY, I helped rescue many cats, dogs, birds. This included coordinating with NY city humane society and non kill shelters when unable to place. When Living in Weehawken NJ, I was able to assist in getting feral cat colony spaded and nurtured and place cats young enough to be adopted and provided shelters for cats in winter conditions. I assisted in rescuing , cats and dogs often thrown out or lost that included assisting with volunteers at some local animal shelters. I have had many pets to many to list all of them and along with this personal experience with animals I was also a counselor for mental health in NY city for over 20 years in all ranges that included work in city hospitals and this included use of pet therapy and advocation for these services for clients available.
