Ain't no party like a dog party!

Pet care experience

I've trained my own certified, service animal, whom I had for 12 years, through 2 rounds of cancer, before I finally lost him last December. I took that dog with me everywhere. He taught me how to train and care for dogs on a level I hadn't ever previously been capable of. Life isn't worth living without dogs, and almost no dog is too much for me to handle. Ever since I lost my dog, I have taken great pride in returning dogs to their rightful owners in a better place than they were when they came into my life. I have worked from home since October of 2019, prior to the pandemic, so dogs love staying with me because they are never left alone, and my work schedule is flexible, so there's always time for a long walk, or a quick game of fetch on a nice day. While at my house, there is a full, 6' privacy fence all the way around the large, long backyard. So there's plenty of room to run around, and play with any other furry friends I may be caring for. And inside my house, is 3BR, 2.5 baths, on 3 different floors, and I live alone, so there's plenty of extra space for them to roam around throughout the day inside. Plus, I'm the kind of person who sleeps on the floor when there isn't enough room for me for all the dogs in the bed or couch. However, I'm happy to follow any "no dogs allowed" rules that someone may have within their own home, or if they'd rather not get their dog used to being on furniture in my home, I'm happy to oblige in that regard as well.

Troy was available, communicative, and flexible and clearly great with dogs. Our dogs seemed to have a great time and he has a fantastic set up to take care of them. I really appreciated that he wanted to meet them in advance to ensure a good fit and asked for vaccine records. I would board them with him again in a second.

Troy is a true lover of dogs. My dog was very comfortable with him. Nice yard for running around, and treats your pet like a member of his family.

Does the dog express any aggression towards humans or other dogs? Does the dog have any food, or other known allergies or sensitivities? Does the dog have any known quirks, such as not liking to be touched on the ears or paws? Does the dog have any known medical conditions? Is the dog on any type of daily medication, and if so, what are they, what doses, and frequencies? What is the dog's current feeding, potty, and sleep schedule? How does the dog do in public situations, where there may be multiple people outside the pack, including smaller children and other, lesser behaved dogs? Is the dog spayed/neutered? Is the dog up to date on their vaccines? Does the dog have any favorite chew toys or treats? Is there anything in particular the dog is not allowed to have? Who is the dog's preferred veterinarian?

A typical day

I typically like to play fetch with the dogs first thing in the morning, after breakfast and potty time. Then they usually huddle up with me in the office while I take my morning conference calls, and plan out my tasks for the work day. Then we all go on a nice long walk for lunch. On nicer days, I'll work through the afternoon on my back deck, so the dogs can hang outside with me and play in the backyard for several hours while I finish my work day. For the more high energy dogs, we'll do either another game of fetch in the evening, before dinner, or another, long evening walk. On the weekends, I'm known to head out to either Stone Mountain or Sweetwater Creek State Park for several a several hours/miles long hike.
