Growing up in the rural parts of the Midwest U.S., I had a variety of pets. I grew up with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and guineas. I even had a pet ground squirrel and Texas horny toads. Dogs made the best pets and I've had experience with a variety of breeds. My Pitbull/Lab, Maverick, loved going for rides into town. My GSD, Bella, and I enjoyed going for long hikes and she loved Kansas’ open spaces to run. I shared an apartment with a Jack Russell/ Poodle mix named Domino during my early college years. I also house sat for a family friend’s duo of Jack Russel Terriers, though very energetic, they required medication twice a day. A Colorado neighbors poodle, a Maltese with separation anxiety from VA Beach, an Austrailian Shepherd from AZ and a variety of mixed breeds. I currently have a three-year-old German Shepherd, Butch, who I have raised from 3mo. I groom him weekly because he uses the furniture and bed as much as I do. We also travel often and Butch accompanies me on every day errands, so I insist that he consistently puts his best paw forward. We love leisure days at the beach, hiking the trails, catching frisbees, and training. We train daily not only to maintain good behavior but also mental stability. Good dogs deserve nothing less than the best of treats. Because I am health conscientious, I use only grain-free treats, dehydrated lamb lung and chicken bits, along with a variety of other natural healthy snacks. Butch and I welcome your pal to join us in our adventures and share our healthy snacks. Or we can just chill at your place. We love friendly dogs of all sizes and ages. Butch and I are used to change in our environment because of our frequent travelling. However, I understand an importance in consistency and am able to adapt to whatever routine your dog is accustom. I am very detail oriented and organized so you can count on specific instructions being followed to the tee. We look forward to becoming friends with you and your bestie.
