Pet care experience
Tristram is a professional dog walker/pet sitter and we are both PetTech CPR certified. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and have been training since 2012. We opened our own training, pet sitting, and dog walking company, Wriggles & Wags Dog Training in 2019 and occasionally offer boarding in our home as well. In July of 2022, we welcomed our first human child and she has fit right in. In our spare time, we enjoy hiking with our dogs and I compete in various dog sports. We are both extremely knowledgeable in pet care. We both have a knack for reading canine body language and have cared for lots of animals with behavior issues such as fear, aggression, reactivity, and handling sensitivities (including our own). We have experience with other special needs such as bladder/bowel expression, blindness, deafness, paralysis, etc. Our work and free time revolves around animals and we would love to introduce your pup to our dog-centric life!

Your dog will get lots of play in our fenced in yard alone and/or with our dogs (if appropriate)! Your dog will get their own, private space where their crate will be set up for naps and overnight. They will eat their meals in their crates alone, so there is no risk of fights breaking out due to resources. They will get multiple potty and play breaks throughout the day with naps in their crate. We find that dogs do really well with this structured schedule! We are capable of keeping your dog completely separated from our animals if required. If that set up is necessary, all animals will be on a crate and rotate schedule. We will also send you regular pictures and updates while you are away, so you never have to go too long without seeing your beloved pup!

***WE REQUIRE A TRIAL NIGHT FOR ALL NEW BOARDERS BEFORE THEIR FIRST STAY*** Does your dog crate? If so, what does your dog do in their crate? We love all breeds and mixes, but we do ask that any dog staying with us is crate trained (calm, comfortable, and quiet in a crate). For everyone's safety, dogs will be crated at night or if we have to be away from the house for any reason. They will get lots of time out walking, running, and playing, so when they go up, they are worn out and ready for a nap! With your permission, we will also give them a stuffed kong to keep them occupied in their crate. We are more than happy to watch dogs with behavioral issues, but we will need to gather some important information from you beforehand to make sure we are the right fit for your dog and to keep our family and your pet safe. For dogs with behavioral issues, we will want to know: 1) What does your pup do off leash with other dogs? What is their play style? 2) What does your dog do when they are on leash and see another dog and/or person? 3) Has your dog ever bitten another dog? 4) Has your dog ever bitten a person? 5) Has your dog ever lived with or stayed with cats? What does your dog do around cats? 6) Has your dog ever bitten a cat? 7) Does your dog resource guard (have issues sharing) toys, sleeping areas, water or people with other dogs? 8) Does your dog have accidents (including marking)? If yes, please explain. 9) Does your dog have a history of being destructive? If yes, please explain. 10) Does your dog vocalize when left alone? If yes, please explain. 11) Does your dog have any dietary restrictions? 12) Has your dog been around toddlers? If so, what did they do? We ask that you please provide us with a copy of your dogs up to date vaccination records. Please have your dog current on flea, tick, heartworm, and internal parasite prevention. A typical day
We have a flirt pole, lots of dog safe balls and discs for fetch. We have lots of interactive treat dispensing toys, so your pup can have fun and get a mental workout while eating their meals! We also have various parks and trails nearby for field trips.

We will ensure your pet has the best care possible, with lots of time to play in our large, fenced in yard! We are passionate about animal care and husbandry and will always go above and beyond to make sure both pets and owners are comfortable. Our work schedules vary from one another, so your pup will never be left alone for too long. Our extensive knowledge and continued education is what really sets us apart from other sitters. We would love to watch your pet and show them the same love and attention our animals get :)
