Pet care experience
I have lived with and taken care of dogs my entire life and have grown to love and understand them. During college I was a dog handler and trainer at the local animal shelter, whenever a particularly scared would come into the shelter I was the go to caretaker. I would gain the dog's trust by showing them the love and compassion that they deserve even going as far as sleeping at the shelter with the dogs to make them feel more comfortable. Now that I live in Maryland I am unable to own a dog because of my apartment but would still like to walk, play and cuddle with them! I have helped some friends train their dogs and they actually suggested that I do this for fun. I would be delighted to help you take care of your fur child, I will treat them as if they were a member of my own pack. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged friends! :)

Tristan has been a dog owner since he can remember and has an incredible connection with dogs for as long as I have known him (since 2008!). Tristan and I use to be weekend volunteers for a local no-kill animal shelter in La Cresent, MN where we would walk dogs every weekend, which we both enjoyed thoroughly. Tristan has a great intuition for knowing the feelings of the animal he is caring for. This sort of skill is essential in order to give proper care for any animal, and to cater to the animals needs. Tristan is a man who puts an animal ahead of himself and would sacrifice many things just to ensure an animals safety and security. I have no doubts that he would do an excellent job at loving the dogs that are a part of Rover, it is his first nature.
Tristan and I work in the same company for over a year. Before I knew anything about his love of animals, I already know about his work ethics and his honesty. He is the only one in his team of 15 people that had a tiny fish tank in his cubicle and he took care of the fish as if it were his daily rituals. He came over and trained my bulldog that I inherited from a friend. The bulldog did not receive any training from the previous owner, did not know how to walk on leash, and was aggressive toward other dogs. Tristan intervened and put the dog in his place with firmness and persistence without resorting to violence. He was so good with the dog that I asked him to come back the weekend after to continue the training. He will be a good resource for training and walking your dogs.
Tristan has grown up with dogs and cats, and took great care of them and is a HUGE animal lover. He has previously volunteered at a shelter for numerous years while in college. He helped shelter animals find good homes, including taking in his cat and encouraging me to adopt a dog that just couldn't seem to find a forever home. He cared about this dog so much that he would sleep with him at the shelter so the dog wouldn't cry when left alone in the cage. We will have this dog 5 years this month, and is a beloved family member. He has cared for friend's pets while they were on vacation, including a diabetic cat. I often think Tristan is a dog and cat whisperer, as he can put any animal at ease while under his care.
