Pet care experience
Hey, I'm Trina! I recently started working from home full time in Sept 2021, but prior to that I was working for a pet sitting agency here in Chicago. In that role I dropped in to do dog walks and cat sitting visits, as well as small rodents, birds, and fish. I loved it and would like to keep connected to the pet sitting world and think it would be easy to incorporate into my current lifestyle. I had a Rover account a long time before I started that job, so I'm glad to have gotten even more professional experience and leveled up my knowledge of best practices for pets. The work I do in life is related to therapy, and I'm getting into screenwriting, because I like to help and understand others. This extends to pets too and makes treating them well really easy.

Trina took great care of our dog and home! We were gone for a weeks and when we returned our dog was happy and healthy and our home was spotless. We are so happy we found Trina and did not worry at all about our pup while we were gone. Will definitely rebook in the future and highly recommend!

Trina has watched our two kitties many times over the past year. Lemon developed a heart condition and Trina administers medication twice a day flawlessly. She provides updates and photos and leaves the house cleaner than when we left it. Kitties are happy and healthy when we return!

I think my place would be best suited for smaller animals like birds, hamsters, or fish. I live in a decently spaced studio but I want your dogs or cats to feel the most comfortable they can and they'll already miss you so at least being in their own home can help ease some of that. I did have a dog stay here once and she was so sweet but had some separation anxiety and peed in the house every time I tried to take her out. I'd rather they have the room to roam freely and feel safe in their favorite spots.

I go over the profiles to get all my details straight before any reservation, so I'll have that information to go off of which I find helpful. Other good stuff to know is if they've been left alone before, have any kind of separation issues to take extra care with, any special routines to stick to...I know the general care items so anything that makes your pet unique and makes them happy.
A typical day
I enjoy all the standard pet activities. I'm down for a rousing game of chase the string around the living room with the kittays or a good roll around the floor with the pups. I've walked and taken public transit most places I've gone during my life in Chicago, so I'm familiar (but still discovering new areas all the time) and find exploring with the dogs to be fun too.

Availability
I currently work from home full time, so as long as you have wifi I can bring my laptop and hang with your pets. The nature of my work is non-intensive so please don't worry that your pet(s) won't be the priority while I answer client messages via email. I can easily give pets if we're chilling on the couch, put my laptop down as needed for some play time or walks, and honestly, I welcome little breaks to give attention (and we all know your pets are cuter to look at than my computer screen :) On the chance that I may need to be gone for a few hours during a reservation, my significant other Mark can stop by and help out if you're comfortable with that, as he also does work from home. He has assisted me in the past, so I will mention him if needed when booking the request to get your approval and you can meet us both. More often than not though I can handle alone!
