XL Breed Owner - Close To Downtown!
Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs my entire life; even housing a daycare service in my backyard at one point! I’ve worked with professional trainers and am the owner of an XL shepherd rescue - a little less than ideal in the downtown area. Living in a dense city center, trustworthy and experienced dog-walkers are invaluable especially for an on-the-go lifestyle. I have volunteered in multiple shelters with breeds and temperaments of all kinds. My own personal experience training a former stray truly gave me eye-opening knowledge of how unique each dog’s (and owners!) needs are. As a lover of all things four legged, I hope to be your go-to walker in the city - and that occasional out of town hike! My schedule is flexible and accommodating to fit your lifestyle !!

Trina did a fantastic job with our little dog Gigi and our cat. I'm always nervous to leave my girls but we got frequent updates and pictures, and I could tell they were well loved during my absence. Our place was in great shape when we got back home and Gigi was happy to see us but overall relaxed. She is pretty leash reactive and was a very shy shelter rescue when I got her 2 years ago. She's since come out of her shell but does need extra patience and attention. This seemed to be no problem for Trina who was great with Gigi during our meeting and greet, and Gigi wouldn't leave her side even at that first meeting. Gigi seems to have had a great time and it makes travelling much easier knowing she was in good hands!! Thanks so much, Trina - we'll be contacting you for future travels!
Trina is a fantastic dog owner who takes the responsibility of her own gorgeous German Shepard, Turner, sincerely and with pride. She is an outspoken dog lover and has dog sat for multiple friends for various occasions. She appreciates that each dog owner has their own schedule/routine and works to adhere to them in order to decrease any potential stress placed on our four legged best friends. I would highly recommend Trina for any dog sitting request!

Knowing a dog’s routine and what works best for them will be the biggest asset I have. I understand I’ll be in their territory so let me know what (if any) triggers for bad-behavior your dog might have. Are they a cat lover or fighter? Do they have a favorite bedtime toy? What areas of your home or the city are off-limits? How are they with kids? It’s all about making your dog comfortable while you’re away and that means you’ll need to know a sitter that knows them.
A typical day
Staying in the Portland area, I hope your dog and I can enjoy walks around the city, by the river, and even up the nature walk if that’s what they dig! If your dog is a park regular, we’ll be sure to stop by for some supervised play. Not an outdoorsy type? That’s fine too! I’m always game for tug-of-war and I’m always looking for a solid charades partner ;)
