Attentive, Caring, Animal Lover

Pet care experience

I have always been a lover of animals especially dogs and cats. Upon moving out to California, I lived with a friend and her family for 6 months who owned 5 dogs, 3 cats, 3 birds and a bunny! They liked to travel a lot so often I watched the animals while they were away. They owned 3 elderly dogs that required a lot of patience, cleaning up after accidents and for medicine to be given twice a day. They also owned two 4 year old white labs who were high energy and loved to play outside, especially soccer! I always made sure I had plenty of love and biscuits to go around! Recently in March, I watched 2 Italian Greyhounds for a couple when they went on a trip abroad for 9 days. The one dog was 14 and the second was 5 and required medicine to be given twice a day. I actually stayed at their house the whole time. However, I do have a Mon-Fri job from 8:30-4:30 so if I do dog sit for you and you require me to spend the night, please be aware I will make sure to walk and feed the dog before and after work, while ensuring they get plenty of love and attention. As a note, I am much more flexible to overnight dog/cat sit on weekends where I can devote hours of love to your dog or cats! I currently have multiple cats of my own and love them dearly! I can promise you that your pets will be well taken care for and receive plenty of love and attention if you pick me to be your pet sitter!

Tricia is a gifted pet sitter. I had a 14 year old lab-pit mix named Gwen who needed lots of love and care as she became diagnosed with cancer in her back legs. Tricia watched over Gwen like she was her own dog. I never worried about her medications or my dog needing extra love. Tricia comes with more than most pet sitters that I have encountered. She also watched over my 3 cats whom have seen to taken a liking to get more than me! Lol this woman is a rare find and I would recommend her skills and caregiving to anyone who loves their pets like family members.

Tricia was a great help to us as we have some older dogs which she gave some extra time and love to, and our younger dogs had some fun play time with the soccer ball in the back yard. She was a great sitter when we travelled and our dogs love her. I would recommend her services :)

Tricia is an absolute gem! She watched King and Zoe for a week while my husband and I traveled and did a wonderful job. We are new to the area and my dogs are a bit skittish in our new surroundings and leaving them with someone was very nerve racking for my husband and I. Not only did the dogs do wonderful but Tricia made them feel safe and secure. They were very comfortable and extremely happy when we got home. Not to mention the house was exactly the way we left it (if not cleaner!) The dogs love Tricia (as do we) and we have used her ever since! Absolute priceless to have found her and cant wait to book her again :)

Information Tricia D. would like to know about your pet

I personally would like to meet the pet beforehand so we both can spend some time together and get used to one another. I found it to be very helpful especially when arriving the first time after the owner has left. They tend to recognize you and your scent and are calmer and more welcoming. I also would like to be informed if your dog has any temperament issues or if there is anything they don't like. For instance, I had an elderly dog not like her head petted because of the cataract on her eyes and she couldn't see my hand coming.

A typical day

I like taking dogs where they are most comfortable and familiar with. I want them to be as relaxed and happy in my presence as possible! If they love walks around the neighborhood or park then they shall get their wish! Playing fetch is always a favorite of mine and I am great at tug of war with one of their favorite toys :) After fun outside, you can't go wrong with relaxing and watching a movie with tons of belly rubs!
