Pet care experience
I am currently a PhD student at UNC-CH with a flexible work schedule, especially during the summer. I have had a family dog all my life (27 years) and love having dogs around the house. I have dog-sat for my college roommates and now my co-workers and love every minute! I'm an active person and will have no issues with an active animal. I have the most experience working with labs/lab mixes. I currently have a 1 year old lab mix named Artoo who I have had since he was a puppy, so I have experience working with young dogs as well. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to go on walks and play! I look forward to meeting and playing with new pups!

Ms. Tricia has been watching my Cocker Spaniel (Rosie) and Shih Tzu (Raven) for the past two years whenever I leave town. The amount of care she puts into the dogs is outstanding. She plays with the dogs outside, keeps their food & water bowl full, and takes them on walks after being cooped up in their crate. The dogs are so used to her that I have no issue when I have to suddenly leave. There is a reason why she is my go-to for dog sitting - she is the best!
Tricia watched my three black labs for 4 days. Tricia was very proactive and was always keeping in touch with me about their condition. I left instructions on feeding time, play time and when to give medication. She followed them to the letter and I felt that she treated them just as I would have. Tricia is very knowledgeable in caring for animals and I will be contacting her again for future sitter opportunities. She comes highly recommended for any dog-sitting opportunity!

I would like to know how active the dog is, if there are any food allergies or special concerns, and if the dog is crate trained. Due to the rules of my apartment complex, I unfortunately can not sit for the following breeds: chow, german shepherd, doberman pinscher, pitbull, american stafford terrior, staffordshire bull terrior, and rottweiler.
A typical day
I love to hike and to take dogs with me. There is a paved walking trail (American Tobacco Trail) right behind my apartment where I often walk my dog and enjoy exercising there myself!
