There’s just nothing better than being able to provide care to pups that are in need of a good home while their owners are away. Although I’ve not been able to own a dog since moving away for college, I’ve always been keen on making sure they were in my life somehow! I’m excited for every opportunity to make a dog’s life a little bit better. I have a relatively open schedule, so I’m a great fit for pups that perhaps don’t like to spend too much time alone or need a little bit more attention. I will be the primary care person, but I live with two roommates who may assist if needed. They both come from dog-households growing up, so we are all very welcoming and excited to host dogs in our apartment. If it’s one of those rare occasions where no one is home, I'll make sure your pup is safe in their crate with a toy and have some soft music playing or some show on animal planet. Overall, this doesn’t happen too frequently, though. My primary concern is making sure that both owners and pups feel comfortable and well taken care of during a stay. I provide updates via messages and pictures and am happy to follow any preferences set by the owner. I would treat the dog just as I would treat my own--part of my family. I have a spacious condo with long hallways and large great room, with a huge sliding door that provides access to the private balcony. I have an iron-fenced yard with a rock garden and plants, which is perfect for a little bit of exploration in the morning! I love gardening and being outdoors, so I try to keep a few plants throughout the house to keep things fresh and green. I live in Tri-Taylor, and it's a very dog-friendly neighborhood-- there's even a spacious dog park just one block away.
