I initially began working with animals at The Humane Society of the United States where I had the pleasure of working with 10-20 dogs and cats per day and knew them all by name. It wasn’t my intention to put an end to my activism efforts that aligned with the organization’s mission to end all forms of animal cruelty when I left the organization.
