I understand Rover cannot help with absolutely everything but I’m very disappointed with the sitter. I haven’t been able to sleep for days since I found out the sitter lost my dog less than 24 hours after drop off on Christmas. The sitter never sent any photos or video updates that we requested through the app. The first update we received was the day after when he possibly lost my fur baby. He texted me instead of calling to say that my dog escaped the cage that was placed outside on 12/24/21 when it was raining all day. He said he gave my dog a bath after he pooped in the cage an put him outside, again it rained and was low temperatures. Since my baby has been gone, the sitter hasn't made any attempts to stay in contact with us nor help find him. I ask to meet up with sitter (Travis) to talk about what happen, he has avoided meeting up with me and avoid talking on the phone.He only text which is very odd. He said he left Henry things on the front porch an i could come by to pick them up anytime. I really feel like he sold my dog or did something to him. The reason we use rover is that we have expectations that the sitters will take full responsibility of the dog while we are away.. My son cried all day on Christmas and today is his bday. We have been desperately looking for our dog and posting flyers with no luck ?. This has been a nightmare.

Travis and his family did a excellent job with Koda even being a puppy with a ton of energy. He always responds right away. Koda was in a great mood when we picked him up which says a lot as well. highly recommend.
