Gives Great Belly Rubs!

Pet care experience

If you’re anything like me, you know how special your dog is to you. They’re always there for us, and they’re just part of the family! You always want the best for them, which is why it’s tough to leave them when you need to go away. I’m here to make sure your pup is in good hands no matter what! Dogs have always inspired me to give back to them however I can, so being a pet sitter is just a dream come true for me. I love taking new pups under my wing and can’t wait to make animals happy! When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. I know how difficult it is to be away from your pup, so it’s my job to make you feel like you’re still right with them! To that end, I believe that excellent communication is the heart of every good booking. I’m very detail-oriented and will make sure that you are kept in the loop on just about everything we do together! Taking copious notes is all part of a day’s work, and keeping you updated is one of my top priorities. Of course, tons of great pictures of us hanging out together will accompany every daily update so you can see just how much fun we’re having together!

Very responsive. I will definitely have Travis spend time with Penny again.

It's always hard when you have to go out of town on an extended business trip, especially when your furbaby has type 1 diabetes requiring an extra level of specialized care. The only people I would ever trust with Chloe is my immediate family because they love her like their own. I was in a panic when at the last minute this wouldn't be a possibility for Chloe. I needed to find a solution and fast and that's when a friend of mine recommended Rover.com. At first I was skeptical but when I entered Chloe's requirements and dates that I would be out of town, I was pleasantly surprised by how many options were available. Not only were there price variances but also in the home selections and caregivers, with or without pets of their own. I quickly went to work on sorting out who I thought would be a great fit and Travis and Ru quickly caught my eye so we immediately set up a meet and greet at Travis's home. I was happy that Chloe being an only child would not only be cared for but also have a play buddy throughout the day. Travis then came over to our house and I showed him Chloe's insulin routine at meals times (this is where I lose most people) and found that he was a quick study and never once had an issue. The day came when I had to drop her off and I can only tell you that this was scariest thing I've ever done, leaving my baby with basily a stranger. But she seemed happy to be there so it made it easier to say goodbye and me slip away. During my 3 days of travel to my final destination I would receive pictures and short video updates and all I could see was a smile on her face as a very happy little girl. I can not tell you how much this warmed my heart knowing that she was indeed in good hands. When I returned home and picked her up she was very happy to see me but I could also see that Travis had loved her as his own and saw that he was a little sad after spending 2 weeks with her she was finally going home. Travis and Rover.com had been a life saver for Chloe and I and if you need a caregiver for your furbaby you you can do no better than Travis and RuPaw. They will love your baby as their own! Oh! Travis also made the cutest card for Chloe (with her drawn picture) that made that gave a special little touch even more heart warming! Thank you Travis!! We love you!!

Travis is a kind person whose love for animals is very clear. Every time he is near a dog he wants to say hello and the dogs always love him. He takes the time to get to know the animal's needs and provide them. My dog is very shy and he is always very protective of her when he takes care of her and makes sure she knows she is safe and loved. I always use Travis when I need to be away from my pup because I know she is in good hands.

Travis is a compassionate, smart, and responsible individual with a big heart for animals. He is a proud and loving dog parent and has taken care of my Pomeranian, Ava, several times. Travis always makes it a priority to ask how I do things for Ava, so I know she always feels safe and at home with him. I highly recommend Travis to any dog parent that wants the upmost quality care for their furry friend!

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

My home is a great place to bring pups into! Firstly, I have a Dachshund/Corgi mix that absolutely loves making new friends. To that end, your pup will always have a playmate to hang around with! In terms of getting out and about, I lead a very active lifestyle and am a great fit for pooches that like to get out and about. Whatever your pup’s energy needs are, I’m happy to meet them! From needing tons of playtime to just lounging around on the couch together, I’m here to make sure that your pup is happy and healthy.
