I grew up with a very high-maintenance miniature poodle, who required dedicated grooming and special care for his nightmares and nervous tendencies. I understand better than most how to care for a pet with trust issues, special diets, and complicated grooming routines. Now, I am the devoted mom to a labrador retriever/pit bull terrier mix. I have been her sole caretaker since she came home at 8 weeks, and have successfully potty-trained her while also developing a healthy, strong bond. I am not afraid of larger or "aggressive" breeds, as I believe that all dogs deserve a chance to love and be loved regardless of their breed's reputation.
