Let me know if your dog has any special needs or has has any behaviors that I should be aware of. Are they shy, nervous or skittish? Do they enjoy lots of play and cuddles? Do they seek attention a lot of the time? Are they scared of thunderstorms? Do they like children? If the home has multiple pets, do they get along well? Are they well socialized? Have they ever bitten or attacked another person or animal? Have they ever been attacked by another dog? Do they display possessive behaviors over food or toys?

Dogs are individuals, as are people. I would start by asking the owners what kinds of activities and games their dog enjoys. Nice long walks in parks or trails or other pleasant places are always appreciated (depending on weather and an individual dog's needs). Games, interactive play with toys, balls, even a stick are fun. Some dogs really enjoy chilling, watching TV while laying in/on your lap, being scratched and stroked. I’ve had dogs that wanted to be brushed for hours, and some who saw the brush or comb, and left the room. Some dogs love having their ears played with, others not so much. Some know and like doing tricks for praise and treats. Some dogs just love having someone talk to them! And many really enjoy going for rides in the car.
