Hello Neighbors! It’s that crazy about dogs and animals lady here! My mother taught my siblings and I from a very early age that animals are people in fur suits and as such, deserve our love, respect, and compassion. I’ve come to adopt that philosophy as well, successfully applying it to my work as an assistant at a veterinary clinic for two years in high school (I am well versed in giving medications, shots, and emergency first aid) as well as my years involved in the dog show world. I have also successfully worked with many animal behavior issues to create a better relationship between owners and their pets. While my children were growing up, I passed down my mother’s credo to them as we cared for various exotics, a cat that is nearing her 15th year, and four mixed breed, rescue dogs that are all over 10. Our animals were never boarded, rather we brought in pet sitters when we were away so I know how it feels to leave a part of your heart behind when you go away for a time. With that in mind, I enjoy helping friends and clients in need of a pet sitter or help with pet behavior to enjoy true peace of mind knowing their pets and homes are in good hands! I also take care of mail, trash, etc as needed. I have been a stay at home mom for over 20 years and am now ready to pursue what I love - helping people with their animals! While primarily a stay at home mom I’ve also been employed by both Clarke and Oconee County school systems. I also worked in the public library. These positions required a thorough background check.
