I grew up having a dog as my best friend. Later in my teens my family adopted a cat which became part of the family instantly. I have always been "that human" who pays attention to the animal in the room. Over the many years I have given oral medication to dogs and cats which sometimes are not always easy. I have stayed overnight taking care of dogs giving medication every 4 hours before. I brush fur, wipe dirty paws, playing and walk dogs. I have also in the past walked dogs at a shelter. It was rewarding and heart breaking knowing I couldn't take them home. My current life style does not allow for me to have a dog. Due to working long hours and traveling on the weekends. I love visiting friends with dogs to get my puppy fix. I do have two cats which I love as my fur babies. I cut my cats nails myself and have given them oral medication when needed. If I had a nickel for every time I asked my husband if we can get another animal. We would definitely be millionaires!
