I'm happy to give them exercise and keep them active. (They're the main reason I go out and get exercise myself, so I'm as grateful to them as vice versa.) I can also give meds as needed, be it pills, ointments, eye drops, even subQ fluids. I will be their best buddy (at their pace), make them feel loved and happy so that your absence will fly by for them.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a non-smoker, no drugs, only a social drinker, I bring absolutely no drama. I’ll do things just the way you ask me to and, if I'm staying a while, will leave your place nice and welcoming when you get back.
Information Tracy B. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know your pets’ signals: how does your pet commonly tell you that he needs to go out, that he’s hungry, that he wants pets or play? Tell me about the language you and your pet have worked out (because you know you have one!) Also, no need to be embarrassed if you have a long list of stuff you want me know—no consideration is too small. You just care about your pet, that’s all!
A typical day
As I mentioned, I'll do whatever activities your pet is counting on--long walks, short walks, hikes, dog park visits, treats, hanging out in the yard, snuggling on the couch. I can't have sad eyes looking at me because I forgot the 3:30 pm [fill in the blank]. You tell me what's important to your pet and immediately it's on the schedule!

Pet care experience
I’m Tracy, a former animal professional who’s also an experienced house sitter and pet caretaker. (I spent a few years assisting zookeepers at the LA Zoo, and a few more working with ICU techs at a wildlife rescue. I’ve been employed at a cat sanctuary and presented exotic animals for after-school programs.) I’m reliable, friendly, responsible and will do things the way you want them done. Pets adore me and vice versa. I'm fine with huge dogs, tiny dogs, fearful dogs, high-energy dogs, cats who love attention, cats who hide under the bed. (I also love meeting exotics!) I'm flexible, patient and forgiving with them, but don't let them get away with stuff, like any good parent. I figure out their signals and learn to speak their language, so they feel "heard." I love getting to know pets and their goofy little personalities, and I work hard to safeguard their feeling of normalcy and security.

Reviews

Tracy took excellent care of our baby Gertie! Left our place very clean and tidy, and sent lots of photo and video updates throughout my trip 😊 Gertie can't wait to hang with her again some time soon ✨

Tracy did a great job catsitting my 9 year old cat, Pierre. He warmed up to her right away and she even brought a laser pointer to play with him.

Always professional and very communicative, love Tracy and her care for my pup!

Tracy was very responsible with our "high needs" kitties, including staying over at our house, 3 meals/day, and giving transdermal meds. The house was clean when we came home and she communicated consistently. Would definitely hire again. :)
