Pet care experience
I have taken care of large dogs since I was 9 years old. We have a 2 year old German Shepherd who is still in her full puppy phase--so we understand what it takes to provide structure, stability, and a stimulating environment for dogs. I am an avid hiker and runner and I fear no weather! Dogs adore the hiking trails near our home and I keep them busy and active throughout the day.

Tracie and her family, plus her sweet German Shepherd, Simi, made my dog feel a part of the family. Lots of attention, playtime with Simi, and long walks. Worth every penny we paid to know our boy wasn't lonely or sad while we were gone.
Tracie is so wonderful! She truly cares and goes above and beyond to support our pup who deals with separation anxiety. We have entrusted our dog with her multiple times. When Uconn is with her I never have to worry.

We have 8 acres on a quiet dirt road and plenty of hiking trails right from our backyard. Our German Shepherd is extremely friendly with other dogs and she especially loves to play. We offer plenty of sectioned-off areas in our home as well, where your pup can have his/her own space and we can easily provide crating if that suits.

I have taken care of dogs with special medical needs, including administering injections and oral medications. Our senior dog recently passed and we spent the past 2 years caring for his arthritic legs and managing stairs and modifying his diet. We have experienced the whole spectrum of dog behaviors and medical needs.
A typical day
A typical day involves hiking the trails right next door to our home. There are plenty of hills, lots of forested areas, and plenty to explore. Dogs love our many walks a day for fresh air and new scents. Once the walks are done, there is usually some playtime within the house before nap time and meal times.

I work from home and have a very flexible job. My children attend school during the day time which offers plenty of opportunity for me to spend time with your precious pooch(es)!
