My family has always believed that dogs are a part of the family. Currently, I have three dogs of my own. Buddha, a 10-year-old Golden Retriever, is the alpha male of the house who demands attention and love every minute of the day. Molly, 4-year-old Bulldog/Bassett mix, has special needs. She was abused as a puppy so she has a lot of anxiety. She refuses to climb stairs and pees every time she meets someone new. She requires a special touch. Rue, 1 1/2-year-old Cattledog mix, is the Sheriff of the backyard. He believes it is his job to keep the rest of the dogs in line. Rue is also not a fan of walking on a leash so I have had to work with him a lot. I believe dogs have their own personality and each offer something different to the family. They each have their own bed and get more treats at Costco than the kids. I cannot imagine my life without my furry kids.
