I grew up in the San Francisco bay area, hiking, swimming and playing outside constantly. When my mother finally got a dog, Ruby, I helped raise, train and walk her. We got very close and often spent the whole day together. She came from a dog shelter in the city and was very shy, timid and scared; so she needed a lot of love and time to get better. It was a lot of work, but she is now one of the most active, joyful dogs I know. I also felt that I had learned a lot about myself! Animals are a great window into your own soul. I love to make sure that all animals are happy and having fun! Because when they are, so am I!
